Managing your website couldn't be easier with a CMS system right-sized for your business.

The advantage of a content-managed website is that it allows you and your staff to change almost anything as the need arises. With just a few clicks you can update, add, or delete pages within your site. It is no longer necessary to contact your web designer every time you have a new idea, schedule an event, or stage a special offer. With a dedicated CMS system, you now have greater control over one of your most valuable resources.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of web CMS options available today. Choosing the one that's right for your company can be a dizzying process. At KW Works we make it easy for you. We've reviewed and tested nearly all of the major platforms and have selected the very best of breed to meet our clients' needs. Larger companies may need an advanced, enterprise level system designed for high volume and multiple editors, while smaller businesses may have fewer requirements. We can advise you on the CMS platform that best meets the needs of your organization. We have deep experience configuring, customizing and installing each of our preferred systems. Should the available commercial options be incompatible with your particular needs, however, we can build a dedicated custom CMS solution from the ground up, specifically for you.

All of our preferred platforms offer flexibility, stability, and a simple dashboard for administrative functions. A good dashboard makes changing and refreshing your site's content quick and easy. These platforms also offer full E-commerce integration through plug-in modules and dedicated APIs.

WordPress

WordPress is the world's most popular blogging tool. In recent years it has also established itself as a bona fide content management system, owing to its flexibility and structural separation of content from visual design. WordPress is free, open source (no license fee), and incredibly versatile, thanks to its widgets, plug-ins and themes. It boasts a huge worldwide community of enthusiastic users and developers. One of its chief features is that it is search engine friendly—all content is easily indexed, and it's simple to add keywords and tags. WordPress can even notify search engines when your content changes.

Its greatest benefit lies in ease of use: if you can use email, you can use WordPress. You may already be a WordPress expert; many of our clients are familiar with the platform through their own blogging experience, so little training is often required. WordPress is the CMS option we most often recommend to small business owners.

DotNetNuke

DotNetNuke is an open source CMS built on Microsoft's ASP.NET platform. It's our preferred solution for more complex sites. We like it because it couples high functionality with tremendous usability. Powerful and versatile, DotNetNuke is one of the most popular CMS platforms, with a rapidly expanding international community of supporters and developers.

DotNetNuke offers a modular architecture that enables a deep level of customized functionality. Our technical team likes its structural simplicity, which offers easy access to the code. DotNetNuke is a license-free platform that offers most of the functionality of an enterprise-level content management system. It is an excellent choice for the business or organization with both extensive data needs and a limited budget.

Sitefinity CMS

Sitefinity CMS is our preferred best of breed "Enterprise level" CMS. It is a flexible, ASP.NET-based content management platform that is used for the construction and management of commercial websites, community portals, intranets, etc. It is fast, flexible, stable and used across the globe by myriad corporations. To quote Sitefinity, "The product's architecture leverages the .NET development patterns, including Master Pages, templates, standard and user controls, themes and CSS."

We like Sitefinity CMS because it is technically robust, and built with flexibility and extensibility in mind. Our technical team likes it because it can easily be integrated into multiple platforms. Our designers love it because it doesn't constrain the design. Our clients love it because it's very simple to use and gives them access to great Web 2.0 features such as built in blogs, new modules, RSS feeds, customer polls, galleries and many more, with a simple drag and drop functionality.
